Potassium Silicate S1-MR coating is the most compatible paint for any masonry surface. Use on concrete, brick, limestone, brownstone, sandstone, and terra cotta. When applied directly to bare masonry, it delivers 92 % vapor permeability. This allows the substrate to breathe naturally while remaining completely colorfast. Unlike latex and acrylic coatings, this true mineral paint chemically bonds with the masonry at a molecular level for exceptional adhesion and longevity. This bonds prevents peeling, unlike paint. It combines the time-tested advantages of traditional silicate/mineral paints with the superior water-repellent properties of silicone technology, creating a durable finish that withstands extreme climate conditions and actively repels water. Dilute with Liquid Silicate and use as a mortar stain!
Note: While this coating can be applied over existing latex or acrylic paints, doing so may reduce its breathability and overall performance.
