This Charcoal Water Filter Assembly removes chlorine from city water. The removal of chlorine is important because it is an acid. Acid digests lime and produces salt.  The summer months typically have higher chlorine levels. Wetting down a wall with high concentrations of chlorinated water introduces salt into the wall. Salt damages historic mortar and bricks. We recommend the single unit for small jobs and the double unit for larger jobs.
