Julep Old Fashioned Milk Paint is best described as a fun 1950’s green. 

Julep Old Fashioned Milk Paint is a true milk paint that comes in a powder form. Environmentally friendly packaging keeps the milk paint fresh for years. Mix the powder with warm water. Add more water to make a wash or a stain. Use less water for a thicker textured paint.  Combine any Old Fashioned Milk Paints to make custom colors. Make a mock-up prior to application. 

Color fast, No VOC’s, non-toxic, food and child safe and made with natural earth materials make this an easy coating choice for plasters.

48 oz. gallon – covers approx. 288 sq ft.

Milk Paint can naturally chip or crackle when applied over some existing finishes.  This can result in an authentic look reminiscent of a chippy, aged, timeworn piece.

We recommend Old Fashioned Milk Paint for use on horse hair lime plasters. Old Fashioned Milk Paints will NOT adhere well to latex paints. Therefore, latex paint must be stripped first with Cathedral Stone Heavy Duty Paint Remover. 

Top coat milk paint with Oil Wax to prevent water spots and make it easier to clean!   (*using Oil Wax lowers the perm rating and is not recommended for Lime Plaster walls*)
