Old Fashion Casein is a natural protein polymer blend containing high quality casein (milk protein) prepared for use in our Limewash applications. It is a dry powder that is cream in color.
Protein content is 84% Fat content is 2% PH is 4.
Add to our Limewash to help promote durability in high traffic areas, and to help prevent “chalking”. This type of casein is used as a helping binder in old fashioned milk paint recipes.
Mixing: There are a multitude of “historic” recipes that call to mix casein with lime and other ingredients. Lancaster Lime Works makes no warranties or guarantees regarding an “exact” recipe and in how to use our Old Fashion Casein.
