Natural Hydraulic Lime (NHL) 5.0, manufactured by Secil Tek is perfect in areas of high exposure:
NHL 5.0 offers the maximum strength and durability of the 3 classifications of NHL’s. Mix with sand to make Limecrete for floors. Mix with Course Hemp for Hempcrete walls. Hempcrete walls are a green healthy renewable environmentally friendly, resistant to: viruses, bacteria, and mold, alternative to today’s modern drywall, gypsum, and concrete. NHL’s will set in the presence of water which makes them ideal for use on exterior applications.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix 2 1/2 parts of sand to 1 part NHL measured by VOLUME. This equals approximately 3 1/2, 50 pound bags of Sand for NHL per 1 55 pound bag of NHL.
Natural Hydraulic Lime (NHL) 5.0 is extremely hard, use caution where it is installed. Remember the mortar must be softer than the surroundings!
The color of the sand that you add, will largely determine the color. Add Pigments to even further customize your mortar!
